ABOUT LJK
Laura Jane Klassen has always been drawn to the places where beauty and wildness collide; the mountain light at 6am, a wall that stops you mid-step, the moment a kid sees colour for the first time.
Based in Vancouver, she runs Studio LJK as a one-woman creative force: painting murals for city landmarks, originals for collectors, and a new series exploring what it means to move through the world as a mother and an athlete with a full body and a full life.
She has painted at the Vancouver and Chilliwack Mural Festivals, created work for the Beedie Foundation, Ecologyst and Oxford Properties, and shown in her first solo exhibition at many local galleries.
GIVING BACK
The act of creating is a generous act, just as it is when gifts are received. By living in an economy of giving and graciously receiving, I, Laura, would like to give a portion of every sale back to an outstanding Vancouver Downtown Eastside non-profit, Pivot Legal.
For every sale made on the 'All My Sisters' products and printed artwork, Studio LJK will be donating 12% off every sale to Pivot Legal for their "work in partnership with marginalized people and grassroots organizations to challenge legislation, policies, and practices that undermine human rights, intensify poverty, and perpetuate stigma. We strategically focus our efforts on the most tangible human rights in order to improve the immediate situation of the people we work with, while creating lasting change that resonates across the country."

Making on the unceded and breathtaking lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. We are grateful to Indigenous Peoples for their continuous relationship with their lands and are committed to learning to work in solidarity as accomplices in shifting the colonial default.
